DRUMMER

Along with audio engineering Anthony Garcia is also a drummer for local bands Blueshift, Ravens' Attic, Channel the Suns, and Barren Altar.

CHANNEL THE SUNS

Channel the Suns is a progressive metal band based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Released in 2012, they made their debut with the album “Monuments”, and in 2013 began writing new material with the addition of then-newcomer Ryan Wall (Radwall, Warp Prism) adding his vocals and taking over on bass duties.

The “Underground” EP, released in February 2015, and the forthcoming follow-up LP to “Monuments” is the culmination of a fresh vision shared by these musicians: to stand out among current trends in progressive metal.

BARREN ALTAR

Black filth from the hearts of scumbags

"Just as strange as all those thong-sandal-wearing desert rock dudes stepping on their wah pedals over in Finland, Barren Altar’s lunar cries of tremolo-picked doom agony are coming from happy-go-lucky Santa Rosa, CA. Forever ago in 2014, Barren Altar discretely put their demo A Monument to Endless Suffering online, while Arcane Visions put it out in the form of 50 pro-tapes. Gee, I wonder why none of us heard it? Regardless of when we're finding out about it, Monument lives up to its heavy name. The trick is Barren Altar crack your skull early, like ten seconds into “Malignant Light” is one of heaviest riffs you’ve ever heard. That way the following moments of volatility, e.g. all the explosive black metal, and/or epic sludge, and/or self-reflective/-loathing post-metal parts seem not only natural, but ingenious. It’s like dating someone and after one really great night together you find out that they’re actually totally insane. But in the end you end up loving them even more for their weird mood swings."

RAVENS' ATTIC

Ravens’ Attic began in an upstairs apartment on 4th street in downtown Santa Rosa, California. Given the same nickname as the apartment, Ravens’ Attic has been the ongoing project of songwriter Brian Dhaze (dah.ZAY) .

Ravens’ Attic draws from a sound put forth in the seventies, and later revisited in the late eighties and early nineties. With bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Cult, and Alice in Chains for inspiration, songs are written with a feel for both power chords and twelve string melodies.
The band has been through many phases, until it has reached its latest and greatest incarnation. Dhaze now is backed by Blueshift members Jared O’Connell and Alex Izzarelli. O’Connell, a songwriter in his own right, has made a project of defining the lead guitar sound of Ravens’ Attic, and Alex Izzarelli, with his funk rhythm sensibility, has interpreted with a lighthearted style the heavy lyrics and quirky time signatures associated with Dhaze’s approach to songwriting.
Latest to join is drummer Anthony "Twonny" Garcia. Long-awaited replacement to Dhaze’s former drummer and co-founder of the band, Anthony is with great authority bringing Ravens’ Attic back from an acoustic trio into what it was originally conceived: a Hard Rock quartet.
